SRIBD Obtains Approval for the Flagship Project of the Guangdong Basic and Applied Basic Research Foundation
Led by Professor Zhi-Quan Luo, the director of Shenzhen Research Institute of Big Data (SRIBD) and a foreign academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the joint proposal submitted by SRIBD, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen (CUHKSZ), and Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications for the "Research on Key Technologies of 6G Networks Based on Environmental Enhancement" has been approved for funding. This marks a new breakthrough for SRIBD in undertaking the Guangdong basic and Applied Basic Research Foundation.
The project "Research on Key Technologies of 6G Networks Based on Environmental Enhancement" focuses on addressing the critical issue in traditional research, which lacks effective channel control and network-wide performance optimization, making it difficult to meet the requirements of 6G. The project explores 6G network technologies based on environmental enhancement from four aspects: environmental perception, reconstruction, adaptation, and twinning. The implementation of the project is of significant importance to the economic development of the electronic information industry in Guangdong Province and aligns with the national strategic plans for essential information infrastructure and technology related to 6G. It effectively supports the development of the information industry as well as vertical industries such as low-altitude economy and unmanned driving.
