Joint PhD Program
To encourage outstanding interdisciplinary talents in the field of big data,SRIBD officially launched a Joint PhD Program with CUHK-Shenzhen in August 2020. This program provides tuition assistance for exceptional PhD Students from CUHK-Shenzhen who are committed to undertaking specific research work at SRIBD. The funding period is one year. To date, the program has trained over 250 PhD students.

PhD Scholarship
To inspire more talented young individuals to pursue careers in scientific research, the Shenzhen Research Institute of Big Data established a PhD Scholarship in 2020. The scholarship aims to select and reward PhD students who excel in relevant fields, encouraging them to engage in in-depth research and innovation. To date, the program has supported over 70 PhD students.

The Summer School on Scientific Computing and Machine Learning, initiated in 2024, is jointly organized by SRIBD, SICIAM, CUHK-Shenzhen, and CUHK. The inaugural session of the summer school brought together over a hundred outstanding students from more than 60 renowned universities worldwide.
