SRIBD and IFlytek Sign Mou in Beijing
On June 27th, the Shenzhen Research Institute of Big Data (SRIBD) and iFlytek Co., Ltd. (IFlytek) signed a memorandum of understanding at the China National Convention Center in Beijing. The signing was witnessed by Lee Ping, Executive Director of SRIBD, and Yu Jidong, Senior Vice President of iFlytek and President of the Consumer Business Group. The memorandum was signed by Zhang Xin, Vice Director of SRIBD, and Zhou Chuanfu, Vice President of the Consumer Business Group and General Manager of the Overseas Business Department at iFlytek.

According to the memorandum of understanding, both parties will commit to jointly developing automatic speech recognition (ASR) technology for major languages along the "Belt and Road" initiative, with a special focus on Arabic ASR. They aim to promote the practical application of large Arabic language models. Additionally, both parties will fully integrate existing products and technical resources to advance their research achievements' localization and commercial promotion in countries along “the Belt and Road," (B&R), especially in the Middle East and North Africa.
This collaboration aims to deeply explore the potential for cooperation between the Institute and iFlytek in the fields of speech recognition and intelligent hardware. By fully utilizing AI speech technology, both parties will actively participate in the high-quality construction of B&R, further advancing the application and industrialization of intelligent technology in countries along B&R. This will contribute to the prosperity and development of the international community.
