SRIBD Holds the 2022 Mid-Year Conference
On August 4th, the Mid-Year Conference of Shenzhen Research Institute of Big Data (SRIBD) was held at the Administrative Building W201 of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen). The conference was attended by Academician Luo Zhiquan, Director of SRIBD, Dr. Lee Ping, Executive Director, Vice Director Dr. Cui Shuguang, Vice Director Dr. Cai Xiaoqiang, as well as all the staff either in-person or online.
Academician Luo Zhiquan delivered the opening speech and extended his warm welcome and gratitude to all the staff. He mentioned that the institute has already gone through the initial stage of "zero to one," and the next step is the development from "one to infinity." In such a crucial period, he emphasized the need for all of them to have a stronger sense of responsibility and an entrepreneurial spirit. Continuous adjustment and self-challenge are essential during this phase of development.
During the conference, Executive President Dr. Li Ping presented an overview and summary of the overall progress of the institute's work during the first half of the year. His report covered various aspects, including epidemic prevention and control, institutional development, research activities, engineering and technical support, administrative support, industrialization, and expansion. Additionally, he highlighted some of the issues that emerged during their work and proposed potential solutions to address them.
Subsequently, four employee representatives, namely Wang Akang, Zhu Guangxu, Feng Zheng, and Lin Nanxi, took turns to deliver their speeches on stage. As outstanding representatives from their respective departments, they introduced their work situations and shared their insights and reflections gained from their experiences.
Through their presentations, they showcased their entrepreneurial mindset and determination to grow alongside the institute. They openly discussed their work responsibilities, progress, challenges encountered, and provided valuable suggestions for the future development of the institute. Their speeches demonstrated a strong sense of ownership and a commitment to contributing to the growth and success of the organization.
In his closing speech, Director Luo Zhiquan summarized the key points discussed during the meeting and expressed his appreciation for the valuable contributions made by all the attendees. He acknowledged the achievements of the institute during the first half of the year and emphasized the importance of continuing efforts to overcome challenges and drive further progress. President Luo also outlined the strategic direction for the institute's future development, encouraging all the staff to work together with a sense of unity and determination to achieve the institute's goals. The meeting concluded with a sense of inspiration and motivation for the institute's continued growth and success.
After the mid-year conference, SRIBD organized all staff members to participate in team-building activities in Xunliao Bay and Honghua Lake in Huizhou.
