On January 13th, the Annual Work Summary and 2023 Work Deployment Meeting of Shenzhen Research Institute of Big Data (SRIBD) was held at the Administrative Building W201 of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen. The meeting was attended by Academician Zhi-Quan Luo, the Director of the SRIBD, Dr. Ping Lee, the Executive Director, Professor Shuguang Cui, the Executive Vice Director, Professor Xiaoqiang Cai, the Vice Director, and other staff members of SRIBD. The meeting was chaired by Academician Zhi-Quan Luo.

Director Zhi-Quan Luo highly praised the overall work of SRIBD in 2022. He stated that despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, SRIBD overcame the obstacles through the collective efforts of all staff members. By focusing on the goals set at the beginning of the year, strengthening institutional development, intensifying talent recruitment, and steadily advancing its growth, SRIBD achieved remarkable results. There were breakthroughs in various aspects, including project applications, collaboration with enterprises, institutional expansion, and talent acquisition, leading to high-quality development.

Dr. Ping Lee, the Executive Director, then reviewed the progress of SRIBD's work in 2022. He expressed confidence in the upcoming year of 2023 and emphasized that each laboratory and department of SRIBD should firmly believe in their abilities and closely align themselves with the development goals of SRIBD, and achieve even greater success.

During this meeting, SRIBD awarded the inaugural "Outstanding Contribution Award" and "Outstanding Service Award" to individuals who made significant contributions and demonstrated outstanding performance in 2022. Professor Qingjiang Shi, Director of the Data-driven Intelligent Information System Laboratory was honored with the annual "Outstanding Contribution Award" for his exceptional contributions. Zheng Feng, from the Research  Administration Office, received the annual "Outstanding Service Award" for her outstanding work performance and proactive attitude.
