Title: Large Bending Deformations of Nonlinear Plates
Abstract:
In this talk, the speaker will present a derivation of nonlinear plate models from 3D hyperelasticity theory. These models consists of minimizing an energy functional subject to non-convex constraints. We focus on computing equilibrium states for large bending deformations of such plates. I will introduce numerical methods for these problems, including both spatial discretization and optimization. The primary computational challenge lies in handling the non-convex constraint in the energy minimization problem.
Biography:
杨朔于2015年本科毕业于北京航空航天大学,2016年于美国德克萨斯农工大学取得硕士学位,2021年于美国马里兰大学取得博士学位。杨朔2021年到2023年在北京雁栖湖应用数学研究院从事博士后研究工作,2023年至今在北京雁栖湖应用数学研究院担任助理研究员。他的研究主要关注有材料科学背景的相关数学问题的建模、计算与数值分析。
