BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Yangyang Peng is currently a Research Scientist at the Shenzhen Research Institute of Big Data. Prior to joining the Institute, he conducted postdoctoral research at the School of Data Science, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen. His research interests include supply chain operations optimization, data-driven operations management, cooperative and non-cooperative game analysis, and revenue management.
Dr. Peng has published nearly 20 SCI/CSSCI-indexed papers in leading domestic and international journals, including Annals of Operations Research, Journal of Industrial and Management Optimization, International Transactions in Operational Research, Chinese Journal of Management Science, Systems Engineering—Theory & Practice, and Journal of Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management. He has filed 14 invention patent applications, led one project funded by the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation and one Young Scholars project under the Guangdong Provincial–Municipal Joint Fund, and participated in several projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
He also serves as a reviewer for journals such as the Journal of Intelligent Manufacturing. In recent years, he has participated in multiple industry–university–research projects related to big data operations, supply chain digitalization, and artificial intelligence applications for organizations such as the State Grid Corporation of China, China Huaneng Group, China Mobile Hong Kong, Huawei, and China General Nuclear Power Group. He has extensive practical experience in industry–university–research collaboration.
Dr. Peng has received several awards and honors, including the First Prize in the National Graduate Mathematical Contest in Modeling and the National Scholarship for Doctoral Students. He was selected for the Shenzhen Pengcheng Peacock Talent Program in 2023 and recognized as a CNKI Highly Cited Scholar in the Top 5% in 2025.
