Medical Big Data Laboratory

Medical Big Data Laboratory is one of the key directions of SRIBD. The goal of the Medical Big Data Laboratory is to apply artificial intelligence and machine learning for the R&D of text, image and voice recognition technologies, integrating EMRs, medical imaging, biomedical and biological information data and hand-lips coding to develop intelligence models to assist disease diagnosis & treatment and barrier-free communication for the disabled, so that to promote the applied research of health and medical big data and to propel the “Internet + Public Welfare” innovation and development. The laboratory has brought together a contingent of world-class talents with rich experience in teaching and research, including research scientists, postdoctoral fellows, technical engineers, adjunct professors and graduate students, more than 60 in total. At present, the laboratory has cooperated with many institutions, including the National Health Commission, the Shenzhen Municipal Health Commission, Class A tertiary hospitals in the Greater Bay Area and head medical health enterprises.
